HAPPY HERD OF GOATS RETURN TO TAM VALLEY

A herd of approximately 400 furry goat-friends will return to Tam Valley late spring/early summer of 2021.  Their mission…to munch on grasses and other dangerous ladder fuels to significantly reduce the threat of a wildfire getting beyond control in Tam Valley. As in years past, the goats will be accompanied by a goat herder, two border collies and a rather large mastiff to provide protection from our local predators.  The herd will graze on TCSD and county land near the Marinview community.  Please be mindful of the electrified fencing (not dangerous, but certainly shocking) and keep an eye on kids and pets if you’re in the vicinity of the herd.
