If you would like to receive periodic, updated information on these topics from Tam Valley Firewise, please send your contact information (name, email address, street address and, optionally, phone number) to TamValleyFirewise@Gmail.com. Periodically refer to the website for SMFD ( https://smfd.org/ ) and FIRESafe MARIN (https://firesafemarin.org/ ) for updated fire safety-related information.
Spring Cleanup
As described in the SMFD article in this newsletter, late spring is the perfect time to “spruce up” your property after the winter season. With the longer days and warmer weather, it’s also a perfect time to work with those nearby on any neighborhood projects. This can be accomplished by ‘sharing’ the use of the green carts for composting – working with neighbors make these projects easier to manage. Consider planning to organize this kind of neighborhood project so it takes place on or near May 1, 2021 - national Wildfire Community Preparedness Day.

Community Chipping
If you wish to arrange and schedule a neighborhood (at least 3 properties) chipping event, please go to the SMFD web site (https://smfd.org/chipper-program) and call 415.730.9048 (Jesse Figoni at SMFD) to make the necessary arrangements before you start any work.
