Volunteer Spotlight

TCSD sends a big thank you to their amazing volunteers who have contributed throughout the pandemic! It has been challenging to maintain community engagement activities while staying safe and distanced from others. We really appreciate the time and effort that our volunteers have given to our Tam Valley community.

Arianna Orleans helped design and plan the fall and winter competitions, The Spooky Cruise, The Holiday Light Fight, and the accompanied Holiday Food Drive. Her son Sunny Orleans set up and designed the holiday lights event website from which we provided event information and online signup and voting portals to safely hold our events during the pandemic. Special shoutout to Rosie Orleans for helping her family and TCSD in brainstorming efforts and creating signs for our Rock garden!

They also came up with the idea and volunteered to continue with their efforts on the upcoming Flamingo Park Rock Garden. Keep your eyes out for another website with information about how you can contribute!!

Nikki McKennedy has also been an active volunteer throughout our pandemic events. She created the beautiful fall pumpkin displays that were awarded to the winners of The Spooky Cruise. She has also volunteered to help with the Flamingo Park Rock Garden by leading a rock painting tutorial session over zoom. Check out the details and how you can contribute to this park beautification and community engagement project!

Thank you ❤️
