Mill Valley Evacuation Drilland Public Safety Fair on Saturday, April 26.
During the drill, participants will drive a designated evacuation route, simulating a real emergency evacuation. The route begins on Miller Avenue, continues to Camino Alto, briefly follows East Blithedale, then moves onto Roque Morales, and exits the community via Hamilton Drive—which is normally closed to southbound traffic but will be open for evacuation purposes during the drill.
Tam Valley residents are encouraged to take part!
While Miller Avenue would not be your primary evacuation route from home, many Tam Valley residents shop and dine downtown, drop kids off at Old Mill or Marin Horizon, visit the Lumberyard, or swing by Whole Foods. In a real emergency, you might not be at home—and this drill offers a valuable opportunity to practice responding from wherever you are.
This event is open to everyone in the 94941, and broad participation helps strengthen safety and preparedness across the entire community.
At the conclusion of the drill, everyone is invited to join local agencies at the Public Safety Fair, featuring emergency preparedness resources, expert guidance, and hands-on activities for all ages.
Bonus: Everyone who registers and participates in both the drill and the fair will be entered to win prizes—including Mill Valley Music Festival tickets and fully stocked Go Bags.
